wow, it's been awhile! i figure it's time to revive the blog. what with spring on it's way and all it seems fitting. and i'm so itching for some longer, warmer days to get out and take some photos. since i haven't posted for months, i do have some catching up to do. i'll start with my dear friend carrie and her family. sessions with them are always a good time.

i have a friend. she's gorgeous. and she's funny. and i can tell her anything. and she listens. and she understands. and i laugh constantly when i am with her...at least the two of us think we're pretty hysterical. although our husbands are usually rolling their eyes at us. i'm lucky to have found her and even more lucky that she trusted me to take some photos of her family, since she's kind of a perfectionist when it comes to family pictures. love you kerri!

my favorite family came back again and i have lots more to share of these beauties.

this session was a couple of years in the making. our first attempt was rained out. and then my schedule and their schedule just couldn't seem to fit together, and finally the date was set. we were ready to take some photos. and then the rains came again. so we both sat in our cars, hoping the storm would pass quickly. i was saying my prayers, and i'm sure this sweet mom was saying lots of prayers after going through the trouble of getting her kids ready for a photo session...so not an easy task. after about 15 minutes, the clouds parted and the skies cleared. prayers do get answered.

i have quite a few sessions to get caught up on and show all of you. but for now, i'll leave you with this little man.

i did a session for one of my sweetest friends this evening. as soon as i saw this image, i instantly fell in love.

this is a big family...6 kids including triplet 2 year olds. but you will not find more well behaved kids, or parents that more obviously adore their children and each other.

never fails...big toddler eyes get me every time.

these people helped to keep us sane and have some sort of a social life when jd was studying his brains out in dental school and i seemed to do nothing but work all the time. they are part of our kentucky family and it's always so fun to see them and how their family has grown. and just look at how adorable these girls are! they make my job super easy.

there's not much to say...these images speak for themselves really. and they put a smile on my face and in my heart.

between the pool, the waterpark, and the bathtub, my kids are going to grow gills.

these little people of mine drop the peace sign like nobody's business. i don't even know where they learned it.

the pool has opened...now it feels like summer has begun.

my trio...they are my world. they are each others world. they are so blessed to have each other and i am beyond blessed to be their mom.

last week i did class/individual photos for the preschool my children attend. and it was so fun to spend time with all the funloving, hilarious kids. even my own children cooperated with me. if only that was the case always.

just recently snapped this one of my sweets. and i can't quite pinpoint why, but i love it. it's so...her. and to know her is to love her.

the theme over at i heart faces this week is collages. this is my then 4 year old who just one day got up out of the pool and did a back flip last summer. shocked the heck out of me. i'm longing for the lazy days of summer once again so this seemed appropriate to share. click the link above to see other great collages.
